LL News: 12.15.24 PJ Day, Holiday Sing-Along, & Winter Break

GIVING TREE: We are grateful to those families who have donated gifts for our Giving Tree! If you haven’t yet dropped the gifts off at school, please do so by tomorrow morning.

PAJAMA DAY FRIDAY, DEC.  20th  Join us in dressing cozy this Friday as we head into winter break!  All Long Lake students and staff can wear PJ’s to school on Friday!   Please make sure the PJs are school appropriate and please no slippers.  

HOLIDAY SING ALONG: COME SING WITH US Join us this Friday, December 20th at 3:15 PM for an all-school Holiday Sing-along in the Long Lake gym.  Join us and sing your holiday favorites with the Long Lake students!

WINTER LEARNING RESOURCE: If your family is looking for learning related things to do over break, please reference the resources below.  For any student who turns in a completed Winter Freeze Packet to the office, they will receive a prize!  

PTO INFORMATION:

PTO MEETING: Please join us for our January PTO Meeting on Thursday, January 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the library.  You can also Join virtually: https://meet.google.com/fic-ofrz-jmu  PTO will be discussing the ideas that were generated by our community for a big purchase(s).

PTO BOARD TREASURER OPENING: The PTO Board is still looking to fill a Treasurer position for this school year! Please consider supporting our school in this important role! Email your interest and any questions to longlakepto1@gmail.com.

DISTRICT INFORMATION: 

TCAPS Board of Education Monthly Office Hours  The Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) Board of Education will host its next monthly “office hours” in person on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Horizon Books, 243 E. Front Street, Traverse City, MI 49684.  The meeting will be located on the mezzanine level (second floor) of the bookstore. TCAPS Board office hours provide community members with the opportunity to talk to a school board trustee. This month, Trustee Newman-Bale  is scheduled to attend.
