2025-26 Kindergarten Information

Incoming Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten Program: We look forward to welcoming our newest Panthers in 2025-26! If you are considering having your child attend kindergarten or junior kindergarten at Long Lake next school year, please complete this information form.  This does not guarantee enrollment, but does add your information to our contact list to be included in future communication about enrollment.  If you'd like to learn more about Kindergarten options within TCAPS and at Long Lake, you can learn more by checking out the TCAPS Kindergarten Guide. 

UPCOMING KINDERGARTEN/JR. KINDERGARTEN MEETINGS:

SAVE THE DATE Incoming Kindergarten and Jr. Kindergarten Information Night February 10th, 2025: Please plan to join us for our Information Night on February 10th at 5:30 p.m. in our library. We encourage incoming Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten parents to attend to learn more about our program and how to enroll.  

SAVE THE DATE Kindergarten/Jr. Kindergarten Signing Day August 21st, 2025: In August each year, we provide the opportunity for our new kindergarten students to explore their new school. They will be able to meet our teachers, tour the school and receive a little gift. Families will sign up for a 30 minute time slot.

SAVE THE DATE August 28th, 2025 Open House: Please also save the date for our school-wide Open House on August 28th! This is a welcome back to school celebration for our entire school community!  We will share teacher assignment information, have free giveaways and much more!  Preschool and Kindergarten families will gather between 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 1st through 5th grade are welcome between 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

If your student has not been enrolled in a TCAPS program previously, please follow the steps below:

  1. Ahead of February 13, create an online account at this link: https://tcaps.powerschool.com/public/formbuilder/form.html?formid=15867326&request_locale=en_US
  2. Once submitted, you will receive an email with further instructions on how to create a Parent Portal account so you can access online enrollment forms.  Online enrollment begins on February 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
  3. Along with your online registration, you will need to upload documents to the Parent Portal. 
    Documents include, but are not limited to:
    1. student’s birth certificate or birth affidavit attached to other proof of birth
    2. up-to-date immunization records
    3. proof of residency (e.g. driver’s license, lease agreement, tax or utility bill
    4. School of Choice form (completed at the school you’re requesting enrollment)

If your student is already enrolled in a TCAPS Preschool* or Junior Kindergarten program, simply follow the steps below to register online: 

  1. Parents of current TCAPS students registering for the Junior Kindergarten or Kindergarten programs can log directly into the PowerSchool Parent Portal to complete the registration forms. If you do not remember your login information or need help attaching your student, please email Kelly Gignilliat at gignillike@tcaps.net         
  2. Online registration forms be available on February 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.      
  3. If you have never logged in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal you will need to create an account using this link


* If your child is attending Preschool at a location outside of your homeschool area, that does not guarantee they will be accepted into the Kindergarten program at that school the following year. You will need to complete the Open Enrollment form as part of the registration process.
