CLASS FORMATION INPUT SURVEY- The purpose of this survey is to provide parents the opportunity to relay information about their child for 25/26 class placement. Your participation is optional. Class roster development for the 2025/26 school year will involve collaboration between current grade teacher(s) and principal. The development of class rosters is complex, and many variables are considered including: class size, varying learning styles, student behavior, balance of special needs, and balance of academic needs. Our primary goal is to build balanced classes. Our classroom teachers know their students well, and will have a high level of input for development of rosters that merge qualities into a class community where success is the goal for ALL students. Please fill out the information below if you would like to share feedback for this process. This information will be taken into consideration when classes are being formed. PARENT INPUT WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED THROUGH May 4, 2025: SURVEY LINK

DISTRICT INFORMATION:
TCAPS BOARD OF EDUCATION OFFICE HOURS: Update for Board Office Hours: The Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) Board of Education will host its next monthly “office hours” at the Traverse Area District Library (TADL) in the McGuire Room, 610 Woodmere Avenue, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. TCAPS Board office hours provide community members with the opportunity to talk to a school board trustee. This month, Trustee Pack is scheduled to attend.
BAYSHORE MARATHON FOR KIDS: The Munson Healthcare Bayshore Kids Marathon encourages kids to be active and includes the option to log 25 miles of running, walking, or hiking this spring, leading up to the completion of a 26.2 mile marathon (25 miles plus 1.2 miles = Marathon). A fun, downloadable mileage log helps motivate them to complete 25 miles on their own throughout the spring leading up to Bayshore. (Mileage logs help, but don’t have to be turned in to participate). Kids will complete the final 1.2 of their full 26.2 marathon on May 27th when they run, walk, or jog the last section of their own 1.2-mile course. For more information and to register click here.
