AMBASSADOR PROGRAM:  One focus area at Long Lake is to build student leadership.  We are currently recruiting 4th and 5th graders as part of our Student Ambassador program.  This group of leaders help in many areas of our campus.   They support talk it outs at recess, lead our Panther Paw tickets on campus and support several other events throughout the year. We are proud of the students who have put themselves out there to make our school a better place!

SNOW GEAR: Winter weather is here to stay!   It’s important that students are dressed appropriately.  We go outside for recess almost every day. So please make sure your child has a set of gloves, hat, boots and snow gear available at school to use.  If your family is in need of items, please notify the office.  We can help match your family with giving opportunities.

During this time of harvest and Thanksgiving, it is also a time for reflection.  I want to take this opportunity to thank our school community! Our families are incredibly generous with their time and support for our school.  From volunteering to serve our Turkey lunch, helping with Happy Feet, Popping for Popcorn Fridays, and supporting fundraising goals…this community is second to none!  I also want to thank our Long Lake staff who work tirelessly to not only meet academic goals but also to help our students navigate their world around them to become successful human beings.  We are lucky to work as a team!  From our faculty, we wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Go Panthers!

Warm Regards,

Kate Burwinkel
