TCAPS Hosts Student Learning Experience Listening Tour
To align with goals set by the COMPASS Strategic Plan, Traverse City Area Public Schools has invited Digital Promise, in partnership with the Learner - Centered Collaborative, to conduct a listening tour.
This listening tour will focus on learning about the district’s current state as it relates to competency-based, personalized, authentic, and inclusive and equitable learning experiences for students.
Online surveys will be shared with students, staff, families and community members. All surveys were developed by the Learner-Centered Collaborative, participation is voluntary, and survey information is anonymous.
Parents and community members are invited to participate in the survey now. It will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. The survey will also be available online if you wish to share with friends and family in the Traverse City Area Public School District who may not receive TCAPS emails. Please note the survey will close at noon on October 20.
TCAPS students in grades 4-12 will be provided time during the school day to participate in the student survey. Staff will announce prior to the survey that student participation is not required. A copy of the student survey is available for your review below.
During the Listening Tour visit, the team will observe classrooms at a number of K-12 TCAPS buildings and conduct focus groups for students, staff, community members, and families. More information on the focus groups will be provided prior to their visit.
Survey results and outcomes from the tour will be shared with the community when available.
