TEACHER CONFERENCE MEALS: A special thanks goes out to the families who donated meals for our teachers and to the families who supported our Bookfair last week!

SKI CLUB 2025 is upon us! Join us on Thursdays beginning in January. The program includes a weekly lesson (at least 4) and weekly lift, with optional rental and Sunday add on. In addition, there is also open skiing in March (rental not included). Click he    re for more info/links to forms.

PRIDEFUL PARADE: We’re helping our students recognize that success takes hard work and determination! Each teacher has nominated a few students who show exemplary demonstration of our Lifelong Guidelines. Those students will be featured in a Parade at 3:45 PM on Tuesday.  Families of students who are being highlighted will receive an email invitation.  We look forward to celebrating students each month as we continue to work towards our growth goals!

Message from Superintendent Dr. VanWagoner

November 6, 2024

Dear Community & Staff,

With heartfelt gratitude, I wish to thank our voters for passing the 10-year operating millage renewal for Traverse City Area Public Schools. The passage of this millage allows our district to collect our state per pupil foundation allowance which provides TCAPS with the necessary revenue to support day-to-day expenses such as staffing, utilities, supplies, materials, and all costs associated with educational and co-curricular programs. On behalf of all TCAPS staff, thank you for your continued support of students and public education.

PICTURE RETAKE DAY: Our Picture Retake Day is this Thursday, November 7th.  If you would like your child to have retakes, simply send in the photo envelope from the last photo session.

LONG LAKE CRAFT SHOW: The annual craft show is this Saturday, November 9th from 9 am-3 pm. The public is welcome to join for a day of shopping. Our annual vendor item raffle will be taking place again this year. It is sure to be a great event to get your holiday shopping done early!

CRAFT SHOW VOLUNTEERS: We need some helpers for the craft show set-up, clean-up and raffle ticket sales.  If you are interested in helping out, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F44ACAC29A0FBCF8-craft

FALL PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES: If you haven’t already please sign up for a conference time with your child’s teacher.   Our Conferences are on November 7th, 12th and 14th. You can sign up for conference times here. We also have Google Meet Links for all the teachers here.  Parents can request any format (virtual or in person) on the evenings. We ask that dual households schedule one conference for their child. This helps everyone to be on the same page to support the student’s learning, it also allows the teacher to have enough time slots for all of the students in their class. . Sign up times for specials teachers are also available. Mrs. Wiliford (MUSIC) has an alternative conference date for LL on November 18th.  If interested in signing up for a music conference, click here and select Nov. 18th on the calendar. Resource Room and Intervention Teachers will join student's homeroom teacher times. If you experience problems signing up, feel free to contact our office at 231-933-7800 or your child's teacher.

TEACHER CONFERENCE MEALS: We want to support our teachers and staff during parent-teacher conferences by providing them dinner on conference nights. See the link below to sign-up. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F44ACAC29A0FBCF8-parent
