Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) is hiring for the 2024/25 school year! There are multiple job opportunities available across the district, ranging from part-time to full-time.

TCAPS hiring events offer opportunities to interview onsite, no appointment necessary. Interested applicants may simply stop in during one of the designated days and times. Many posted positions require no prior experience and on-the-job training is provided.

Step 1: Complete the online application.

  • You do not have to complete your application in one sitting.
     
  • You only need to complete the application once but can apply for as many positions as you like.

Step 2: Scan your cover letter, resume and letters of recommendation and upload to supplement your application. The application includes a link to make uploading easy.

Transcript/Credential Translator and Evaluation Service: If you have completed your undergraduate or graduate studies in another country and need to have your transcripts or credentials translated and/or evaluated, please visit: External Linkwww.usces.org

Step 3: To be completed ONLY if applying for a certified job, such as teacher, administrator, nurse, school social worker, etc. Upload (using the link provided in the application) scanned copies of:

  • Teaching certificate (front and back)
  • Student transcripts
  • Michigan Test for Teacher Competency (MTTC) results
  • Placement office credentials (or letters of recommendation)

Step 4: Begin applying for jobs!

Once you have successfully submitted an application, you can easily apply for any future jobs that interest you. Just click on the “apply” button next to each position for which you wish to be considered. You will be prompted to create a new application for each posting; however, information that you have completed that has been submitted in a previous application will be auto-filled in the new application. You can change the provided information, as needed. Any required fields that are blank should be completed prior to submission of your application.

Yes. You must complete an online application in order to apply for an open position. Current TCAPS employees are able to complete an abbreviated internal application within the TalentEd system. Please view Google Docinstructions for completing the internal application

You must click the “Apply” button next to each position for which you would like to be considered. By clicking the “Apply” button, your application and supplemental documentation will be linked to that position and will ultimately be reviewed by an administrator looking to fill the position. Remember, although you only need to complete the application once, you must link your application (click “Apply”) each time you apply for a different position.

Applicants are unable to edit an already submitted application, You are, however, able to edit your application profile prior to submitting future applications. In order to do so, log into your Talent Ed account, select the Profile tab, and then select the application profile that you would like to edit.

The online application process includes an automated response system that notifies you that your application has been processed. If you did not receive the automated response, then you may not have completed the final steps in the application process and should log back in to see which steps were missed. Furthermore, you can track your application status by logging into your Talent Ed Hire account and selecting the Application Status tab.

Many people are able to utilize the computers available at the public library or they can borrow a friend’s computer. If those are not an option for you, a computer can be made available to you at the TCAPS Tompkins/Boardman Administration Center, 412 Webster Street.
