Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Cherry Knoll Elementary School PTO invites all parents to get involved in school activities and events and/or considering becoming a member of the PTO board. The PTO works throughout the year to bring quality enrichment opportunities to our students as well as enhance student programming. The PTO works to accomplish this by having fundraisers, organizing family activity nights, assisting in classrooms, and supporting school events. All of the PTO fundraising efforts go directly back to the children’s classrooms, school and playgrounds. Cherry Knoll is very proud to be able to pay 100% of our student’s field trips!

Please join us and learn more at our meetings and events. We welcome new faces, fresh ideas, and as always, help from parents and family members. Our meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month during the school year. Free childcare is available. Hope to see you there!

Volunteer Opportunities

The Non-Fiction Fair - February 21st 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM 

The non-fiction fair is open for all students to participate in, 9:00 - 2:00. 
The PTO and School work together on this event for set-up and clean-up to be as expidited as possible.  If you are able to help with either please email ptocherryknoll@gmail.com.  We will have student volunteers from East Middle School assisting with the floor tarps, table set-up and coverings.  It is always nice to have a few adults help facilitate this effort.  We have maps and instructions so this task is easily picked up by anyone willing, very little brawn is actually required!
For the fair we seek:
  • Set-up Volunteers (on 2/20) 3:00 PM - typically about an hour committment

  • Clean-up Volunteers (on 2/21) 3:00 PM - typically about an hour committment

Parent Teacher Conference Dinners:

Parent/Teacher conference days run into very long nights.  In order to keep everyone sharp and on their toes, the PTO likes providing dinner each night.  Select a spot and donate as many items as you like, we've broken the menus up into many "bite size pieces" if you will...

 

 

 

Silent Auction NEEDS YOUR HELP (for Spring Carnival)

There are a few ways to volunteer your time- some can even be completed from your living room!

1. Volunteer to Contact & Collect Silent Auction Donations - this is a VERY controlled task, organized by geographic locations, the donor businesses on the list are all willing contributors!

2. Volunteer to be an "Auction Greeter" or an "Auction Closer" as each table on the night of the Auction (April 6th) closes at varying times we need volunteers to assist in the facilitation of this.

3. Volunteers to help collect the payments for the winning bids - this volunteer opportunity BEGINS at 7:00PM

4. Volunteers to help on the FOLLOWING SATURDAY to contact winners that did not pickup items during Carnival.

This is it! Our biggest event of the year- and it can't be done without YOUR help! Join us at Cherry Knoll's Spring Carnival and help bring our biggest fundraiser of the year to life! There are LOTS of ways to volunteer your time- from running carnival games in classrooms, face painting, and helping out with our silent auction, to assisting in the cafeteria, helping with set-up/tear-down, or just filling in wherever we may run short of help!
