On Sunday, April 9, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., TCAPS will host a free screening of the award-winning documentary “Screenagers” at Lars Hockstad Auditorium in Central Grade School (301 W. Seventh St.).
Artwork created by Traverse City Area Public Schools’ students was accepted into the Northwestern Michigan College Art Department’s “Regional High School Art Competition.”
The West Senior High School FIRST Robotics Team 3767, the Titans, won the prestigious Chairman’s Award at their first competition of the season, which was held in Escanaba over the weekend.

On Wednesday, March 15, 2017, Traverse City Central High School will host a speaker panel highlighting careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (1150 Milliken Dr.).
On Sunday, February 19, 2017, an experiment designed by four students from Traverse City West Senior High School (WSH), Sam Church, Ryan Hayes, Hayden Holmes, and Robert Lohr, was launched into space and is headed for the International Space Station.
The Traverse City West Senior High School Titan Robotics team competed at the VEX Robotics state tournament at Michigan State University over the weekend.
The Turn Up The Music National Tour, presented by The Young Americans, is making a stop in Traverse City for a three day workshop from March 27-29, 2017.
