Traverse City Area Public Schools and the State of Michigan require a state and FBI fingerprint background check be conducted for all new employees.
Scheduling an Appointment
To schedule an appointment for fingerprinting, please contact Joyce Julian at 231.933.1710. There will be a $64 fee to complete the process ($44.75 fingerprinting fee by the State of Michigan and a $19.25 processing fee by TCAPS). Payment can be made by a Visa or Mastercard credit/debit card or a cashier’s check/money order. Cash or personal checks cannot be accepted. Payment must be made at the time of appointment. A receipt will be provided. If requested by the employee, fingerprint results will be copied and forwarded to other public schools employers with similar requirements.
