A message from TCAPS Superintendent John R. VanWagoner II, Ph.D.
With the upcoming sale of the Ida Tompkins Boardman Administration Building, Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) will begin relocating Administration staff in March to the Glenn Loomis school building, located at 1009 S. Oak Street. Glenn Loomis has been mostly vacant since TCAPS Montessori moved to its new location on Franke Road at the start of the 2023-2024 school year.
Phase I of the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT’s) Grandview Parkway Project will begin the evening of Sunday, March 10th.

The TCAPS Board of Education approved with a 7-0 vote authorizing Superintendent Dr. John VanWagoner to fully execute the sale of the Bertha Vos property for a purchase price of $1,225,000 with SH East Bay Commons North LLC, a real estate development company specializing in both commercial and residential properties. The cash offer exceeded the listing price of $725,000.
