Greetings TCAPS Families – Together We Create the Future!.
In joining the team at Traverse City Area Public Schools, I am excited about the tremendous potential we have as a school community. When I speak with parents, community members, and staff about our schools, it’s been inspiring to hear their pride and observe their extraordinary personal investment to TCAPS.
As your partner, I share your deep commitment to ensuring your child and every learner is inspired, challenged, and engaged in a vibrant educational journey with TCAPS today, tomorrow, and well into the future. Effective instruction for all students will require an unwavering focus and our working together to increase student performance. In partnership, TCAPS and our families can create that educational journey by nurturing and inspiring each child in our system to fulfill his or her dream. Graham Greene wrote, “There is always a moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in.”
This school year, TCAPS will take a close look at the future and what our schools and community believes is necessary to prepare students for success in a rapidly changing global community. Your partnership is vital as WE create a vision and plan that will set the course for your child’s educational future.
I invite you to become fully involved in TCAPS Tomorrow. The scope and timeline for the TCAPS Tomorrow process will be presented at the September 27th School Board meeting at 6 p.m. at the Boardman Administration Building, 412 Webster Street. Stay tuned for regular updates. There will be many opportunities for you to join in.
